Two Individuals Accused Regarding Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Assault
Formal charges have been brought against two men related to a suitcase robbery where a believed to be pepper spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and charges for deploying a toxic agent, according to official statements.
These accusations come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after getting out of a car park lift, police said.
A toddler was among those injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to a medical facility and were subsequently released.
The incident – which authorities stated was isolated and deemed non-terroristic – caused train delays and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
