The former president's Family Member Gets Expert Guidance from Tiger Woods Before LPGA Debut

Young golfer preparing for significant tournament

The rising star maintains impressive social media audience

Kai Trump will have numerous well-known cheerleaders when she makes her professional golf debut this Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to a former US president, obtained a sponsor's invitation to participate at the Annika competition in Florida.

Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, possesses numerous golf courses and regularly competes against Kai.

"He's pretty good. I can't say much but we have some close matches," she stated.

She mentioned that her grandfather, who won't be present, told her: "Simply don't get nervous."

"He basically suggested to play and have fun," she continued.

"In my eyes, he's simply a normal grandpa. He's not attending for the tournament. He's occupied with presidential duties, making him rather occupied."

While still amateur, Kai has played in just three tournaments in 2024 and maintains ranking 461 in AJGA listings.

However she can get advice from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Vanessa.

"He stands as the top athlete globally," Kai expressed.

"And he's a superior person. He advised me to compete, have fun, following whatever happens."

She'll challenge multiple most prominent players in professional golf at this tournament, such as second-ranked the champion, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.

The LPGA mentioned that involving Kai helps introduce the sport to wider groups, specifically reaching younger fans.

The social media influencer has millions of followers and recently launched an exclusive apparel and wellness company.

She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
