Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Cockpit Window
An aircraft transporting Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the jet's front window, according to an official announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.
"The plane landed based on standard protocol and all passengers, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," an official representative stated in a social media post.
The secretary was coming back from a short visit to Brussels when the incident occurred.
This event does not mark the initial instance that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a top government figure has suffered mechanical issues.
Earlier this year, a American military jet transporting the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was compelled to return to Washington after experiencing a technical issue.
