Homages Continue for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Face a Security Hold.

More than two weeks following the shocking loss of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community are still paying respects to the couple.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, stated he finally felt able to express about his deep grief.

"Sufficient time has elapsed that I can at last express my sorrow into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started passing more hours together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the film, commenting that he could not remember "any day without laughter".

"This story is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes continued.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I think of you." He ended with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Friend and Collaborator

In a separate tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked seamlessly with the cast, and he comprehended the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese noted.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to bar the release of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, after an appeal from the LAPD.

A legal directive put a restriction on the investigation to restrict the public release of "all case details, evidence and photographs" connected to the ongoing investigation.

The Medical Examiner's office had already determined their deaths were the consequence of homicide, with a official listing listing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Response and Criticism

Following the deaths, public figures expressed divergent responses.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, making controversial claims that were widely condemned by several public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his voice to the detractors last week. Speaking on his program, Rogan characterized the comments as "disturbing" and suggested they showed a troubling absence of compassion.

Rogan finished by remarking that an adviser could have acted when the impulse to comment on the death was made.
