Miami scored eighty-six first-half points versus the Memphis Grizzlies
Miami Heat earned a crushing 146 to 114 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies in their first NBA game after guard Terry Rozier was arrested over alleged illegal gambling.
Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups was additionally arrested as part of a broad federal investigation into sports betting. Both men contest the allegations.
However, the Miami team were not distracted as they scored 86 opening half points to lead Memphis by 39 at halftime, the biggest half-time advantage in the franchise's 37 year existence.

League Commissioner Adam Silver 'Upset' over Arrests
Addressing the arrests for the first time, league head Adam Silver stated he was "very upset" by the incidents of the past few days.
"There's nothing more important to the NBA and its fans than the fairness of the competition," he told Amazon Prime. "And so I felt uneasy. It was disturbing."
Silver also said an league probe into Rozier's actions in spring 2023, when there was "unusual wagering" in a game he participated for the Hornets against the New Orleans Pelicans, discovered no wrongdoing.
"We were informed by the regulators and the gambling firms," he continued.
"We then looked into the matter and were open about it. Although there was that aberrational betting, we, frankly, found no evidence.
"Federal authorities has subpoena power... [it] can threaten to put people in jail, can take various actions that the league office can't do.
"So, we've been cooperating from that point. And, of course, what they announced yesterday was an charge.
"Moreover two and a half years later, he has not been found guilty of anything, in fairness to Terry.
"Clearly, it appears unfavorable, but he's been suspended, and so it is a compromise in this case between protecting people's rights and conducting an inquiry."
